After keeping Brock U. off the score sheet in the fourth inning, Lahn allowed 5 runs on 5 hits before being relieved by Joe Brown with only one out in the 5th inning. Brown got the final two outs of the inning but not before Brock scored one more run to take a 7-5 lead. The Royals scored their sixth run in the top of the 6th inning when center fielder, Daniel Campos drove in Andrew Bolton with his second single of the game.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, former Royal Daniel Forte, hit a 3 run home run to left field that made the score 10-6 still with no outs in the inning. After the home run, Alex Mann was brought in to relieve Joe Brown and allowed only one hit in his first inning as a Royal.
