ROYALS BATTLE TEAM ONTARIO TO A 6-6 TIE

Playing their seventh game in five days the Royals showed their battling spirit by coming from behind to tie Team Ontario at 6 on Wednesday night at Milcroft Park.
The story of the game was RHP Phillip Hinton who came in with one out in the bottom of the fourth inning after Arsene Pinguelo could not find the strike zone when he came in in relief of starting pitcher Cody Delorme. Hinton threw 106 pitches in 5 2/3 innings allowing only one run on four hits, six Ks and five walks. Hinton has been dominant in his two appearances this year allowing only one run in 11 2/3 innings. Starting pitcher Cody Delorme pitched 3 1/3 innings allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, 4 Ks and 3 walks.
The Royals offense managed six hits against Team Ontario pitching. Edward Largy hit a triple and had an RBI; Adam Vollick, who played left field, had a double, a walk and scored twice; Logan Karse, Jordan Grant, Jahmal Brooks and Jonathan Del Pozo hit singles. Dolan Dunigan walked four times and scored twice.
The Royals will face the Terriers in Oakville on Saturday afternoon and then travel to Cambridge on Sunday.
